Village Board members have been working with representatives of County agencies and other "stakeholders" as part of the Oakland Mills Revitalization Committee. This group is looking at strategies for the long term future of our center. The Board is also part of a Partnership Group, led by staff from the Howard County Local Children's Board, This group is working to identify community needs that could be addressed with grant funds, and to prepare the necessary documentation for an application to the Governor's Office of Crime Control and Prevention for a series of grants that replace the formerly named HotSpot program.

Regular meetings of the Oakland Mills Village Board are the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month at 7:30 PM in the Other Barn. Board members also serve as the Architectural Committee, hearing appeals for exterior alteration applications that have been denied by the RAC and pursuing legal action in cases of serious, intractable covenant violations.
